Key Responsibilities – Storekeeper (MEP)

Receiving & Verifying MEP Materials

• Receive HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting, and ELV materials
• Verify deliveries against purchase orders, delivery notes, approved submittals, and project specifications
• Ensure only approved materials enter the site store

Quantity & Quality Inspection

• Check quantities, item descriptions, and approved brands/models
• Inspect materials for damage, shortages, or incorrect specifications
• Ensure compliance with consultant and project requirements

Segregation of Non-Conforming Materials

• Identify and isolate rejected or damaged materials
• Prevent accidental usage of non-approved items
• Maintain clear tagging and reporting

Proper Storage & Housekeeping

• Store materials based on category, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and accessible site store
• Follow site safety and housekeeping rules

Stacking, Labeling & Material Protection

• Ensure correct stacking and labeling
• Protect materials from dust, water, sunlight, and physical damage
• Reduce losses and replacement costs

ERP-Based Inventory Control

• Maintain accurate stock records using ERP systems
• Track material issuance and receipts in real time
• Ensure proper documentation and accountability

Stock Audits & Reconciliation

• Conduct regular physical stock audits
• Reconcile physical stock with system data
• Report discrepancies to project teams

MEP Material Knowledge Required

HVAC:

• Duct accessories, insulation, dampers, grills, diffusers, valves

Electrical:

• Cables, conduits, trunking, panels, switchgear, earthing materials

Plumbing:

• PPR, UPVC, HDPE, GI, copper pipes, valves, fittings

Firefighting:

• GI/black steel pipes, sprinklers, valves, hose reels

ELV:

• Data cables, CCTV systems, access control, fire alarm accessories

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Diploma or Higher Secondary education
• Background in logistics, store management, or inventory control preferred

Experience

• Minimum 3–4 years of experience as an MEP Storekeeper
• Proven experience on UAE construction projects

Technical Knowledge

ERP Experience (Preferred)
