About the Role

Air Arabia is looking for a qualified Accountant – Management Accounts to join its Finance team in Sharjah. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting management reporting, preparing budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal financial controls. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments while coordinating with banks, auditors, suppliers, government authorities, and General Sales Agents (GSAs).

Key Responsibilities

As an Accountant – Management Accounts, your duties will include:

• Maintain accurate accounting records while ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
• Record financial transactions in the SAGE X3 accounting system according to recognized accounting standards.
• Process GSA credit transactions after verifying payments, approvals, and supporting documents.
• Ensure vendor invoices, accruals, and outstation expenses are recorded before monthly financial closing.
• Perform monthly reconciliations for vendor, supplier, GSA, intercompany, hub, and general ledger accounts.
• Process debit notes, credit notes, and related accounting entries accurately.
• Review balance sheet accounts and prepare accruals, reversals, and other journal entries.
• Prepare monthly budget-versus-actual reports and assist departments with financial analysis.
• Monitor operating costs and support cost-control initiatives across the organization.
• Generate management information system (MIS) reports by analyzing financial data and trends.
• Assist internal and external auditors by maintaining complete and accurate financial documentation.
• Ensure timely month-end closing activities and compliance with internal financial controls.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants should meet the following qualifications:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
• At least three years of experience in finance or corporate accounting.
• Previous experience with a regional or multinational organization is preferred.
• Experience in the airline, travel, tourism, or aviation industry will be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and the complete accounting cycle.
• Experience working with computerized accounting systems.
• Knowledge of internal and external audit processes.
