🧰 Position Overview: Safety Assistant
Job Title: Safety Assistant
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
The Safety Assistant will play a key role in supporting Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) programs in compliance with ISO 45001:2018 standards. The role involves helping maintain a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment across EKFC facilities by identifying hazards, minimizing risks, and ensuring continuous improvement in safety performance.
You will report directly to the Safety Specialist, assisting with inspections, investigations, and awareness programs to uphold EKFC’s strong safety culture.

✅ Key Responsibilities
Conduct inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and areas for improvement.
Support supervisors and managers in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor environmental factors (e.g., lighting, ventilation, noise).
Ensure maintenance and calibration of safety equipment.
Coordinate fire drills, first aid readiness, and emergency preparedness.
Oversee contractor compliance with EKFC’s safety standards.
Assist with incident/accident reporting and investigations.
Prepare daily safety reports and maintain safety noticeboards.
Conduct toolbox talks, briefings, and internal safety awareness campaigns.
Participate in Health & Safety Committee meetings and follow up on action plans.
Promote compliance with ISO 45001:2018 across all departments.
This role requires flexibility to work in 24/7 operational shifts, including on-call and emergency support as needed.

🎓 Qualifications and Skills
Education:
NEBOSH International or General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (Mandatory)
ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor Certification (Preferred)
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant OHS experience.
Prior experience in industrial, catering, or aviation sectors is an advantage.
Skills:
Strong understanding of OHS laws and best practices.
Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal).
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to safety management.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
