About the Transport Supervisor Role

The Transport Supervisor plays a vital role in managing and overseeing ground support operations during aircraft arrivals, departures, and turnarounds. This position is centered on ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance across all ramp, loading, and unloading activities. The role demands active, on-site supervision, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of aviation ground handling procedures.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for a broad range of operational and supervisory tasks, including:

• Managing and monitoring ramp and ground handling operations to ensure aircraft safety and asset protection
• Assigning, coordinating, and supervising the daily activities of a small team of ground staff
• Overseeing the build-up and breakdown of Unit Load Devices (ULDs) in accordance with load plans and operational requirements
• Monitoring baggage movement to ensure accurate and timely transfer to departing aircraft or arrival areas
• Supervising pre-departure checks and ground procedures to support on-time and safe aircraft departures
• Collaborating closely with load control and weight-and-balance teams to enhance loading efficiency and cost effectiveness
• Ensuring full compliance with loading instructions, safety standards, and established standard operating procedures

This position requires a high level of attention to detail, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and confident leadership in a fast-paced, time-critical environment.

Education and Experience Requirements

Applicants for the Transport Supervisor role should meet the following qualifications:

• Diploma qualification (minimum 2 years or above)
• Valid UAE driving license along with required vehicle operation licenses in accordance with UAE regulations
• ADP / ADAS equipment licenses and Ramp or Freighter Handling certification are an advantage
• At least 3 years of experience in ground handling, airport transport, or aviation operations
• Strong proficiency in spoken and written English

Candidates with prior experience in ramp operations or airport transport supervision will be highly regarded.
