Accountant (Accounts Payable)
- Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
- Experience: Minimum 4 years
- Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related field
Job Overview
We are seeking experienced finance professionals to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The selected candidates will be responsible for managing Accounts Payable functions, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices accurately and ensure timely payments.
- Perform vendor statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and maintain financial records.
- Monitor financial controls and ensure compliance with internal policies.
- Assist with internal and external audit requirements.
- Prepare expense accruals and support cash flow forecasting.
- Maintain records of bank guarantees, liabilities, and financial commitments.
- Coordinate invoice approvals with relevant departments.
- Ensure compliance with procure-to-pay (P2P) procedures.
- Manage petty cash verification and related controls.
- Prepare financial reports, schedules, and analysis.
Senior Accountant responsibilities also include supporting audit preparation, reviewing financial transactions, and overseeing payment batch processing.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of relevant Accounts Payable or accounting experience.
- 2–3 years of hands-on ERP system experience.
- Oracle ERP experience will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes.
- Experience in financial reconciliations and data validation.
- Vendor management and relationship coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of financial controls, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
