Van Sales Supervisor (Traditional Trade) – UAE

As a Van Sales Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily van sales operations, managing route efficiency, and leading a team of salesmen to achieve sales and distribution goals. The role requires strong market knowledge, leadership capability, and practical FMCG experience within the UAE.


Key Responsibilities

1. Team Supervision & Leadership

  • Lead and supervise a team of van salesmen
  • Ensure daily route discipline and service standards
  • Coach salesmen on selling skills and outlet handling
  • Maintain effective communication between field teams and management

2. Distribution & In-Store Execution

  • Ensure correct product availability across outlets
  • Monitor merchandising and shelf visibility standards
  • Improve product placement and overall outlet execution
  • Maintain professional servicing standards

3. Route Planning & Data Accuracy

  • Organize daily outlet coverage and call frequency
  • Monitor route productivity and time management
  • Maintain accurate customer and outlet data
  • Support outlet classification and route mapping

4. Ordering & Product Mix Control

  • Validate order quantities based on outlet demand
  • Support fast movers and reduce stock gaps
  • Monitor slow movers and improve stock rotation
  • Ensure correct product mix by outlet type

5. B-Class Markets & Self-Service Outlets

  • Improve coverage and strike rate in B-Class markets
  • Support negotiations and customer retention
  • Strengthen relationships with self-service outlets
  • Maintain consistent service quality across all outlets

6. Target Achievement & Wastage Control

  • Achieve daily and monthly sales targets
  • Improve numeric and weighted distribution
  • Increase visibility and product presence
  • Monitor and reduce wastage across routes

7. Route Performance & Cash Control

  • Track route-wise sales performance
  • Monitor van stock movement and returns
  • Review daily outlet activity and coverage
  • Ensure accurate cash reconciliation

8. Sales Strategy Execution

  • Implement company sales strategies at field level
  • Support promotional activities
  • Ensure compliance with sales policies
  • Maintain structured reporting and updates

9. Market & Competitor Intelligence

  • Monitor competitor pricing and promotions
  • Track new product launches
  • Share customer feedback and market trends
  • Identify growth opportunities within routes

Mandatory Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of UAE experience in:

    • Van Sales
    • Traditional Trade
    • FMCG / Food Trading sector
  • Strong experience with:

    • B-Class markets
    • Self-service outlets
  • Valid UAE Driving License

  • Proficiency in:

    • MS Word
    • MS Excel
    • MS PowerPoint
    • Sales reporting and tracking tools
