Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, one of the fastest-growing low-cost airlines in the region, is currently hiring a Stores Controller to join its Technical Operations team. This role is vital in ensuring the effective control, storage, and availability of tools, equipment, and aircraft spare parts required for both Air Arabia’s fleet and third-party aircraft maintenance.

The selected candidate will play a key role in maintaining compliance with GCAA regulations and internal company policies, supporting safe, efficient, and reliable aircraft operations.




Job Purpose

The Stores Controller is responsible for overseeing day-to-day store operations, including the receipt, storage, issuance, and tracking of aircraft maintenance materials, spare parts, and tools. The role ensures inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely support to engineering and maintenance teams.


Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Stock Control

  • Manage daily store activities and maintain adequate stock levels of tools, consumables, and aircraft spare parts such as batteries, oils, wheels, and kits.
  • Ensure materials are readily available for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Monitor storage conditions, including temperature, humidity, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain proper bin locations, tagging, and records in the ICARUS Inventory Control System.

Documentation & System Management

  • Update inventory movements, shelf-life tracking, calibration schedules, and tool usage in the RAL system.
  • Pre-load data for Aircraft Daily Defects (ADD) and Maintenance Deferred Defects (MDD).
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all tool and material transactions.

Coordination & Operational Support

  • Issue tools and spare parts according to maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate with the Rotables Team and vendors for repair or replacement of unserviceable items.
  • Support logistics activities including deliveries, returns, engines, APUs, and Dangerous Goods (DG) handling.
  • Prepare stock reports and recommend corrective actions for discrepancies.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure strict adherence to GCAA regulations, quality standards, and company safety procedures.
  • Support the Stores Supervisor in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and efficient store operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • High school certificate or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
  • Valid UAE Driving License.

Experience

  • 1–2 years of experience in aviation stores or inventory management.
  • Knowledge of GCAA regulations and IATA Dangerous Goods procedures is preferred.
  • Experience within a low-cost airline environment is an added advantage.

  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Physically fit to handle and move tools and equipment.
