Team Leader Ramp – Abu Dhabi | Leadership Role in Aviation Ground Operations

This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient, and punctual aircraft turnaround operations while maintaining the highest international aviation safety standards.

Role Overview

As a Team Leader Ramp, you will lead and supervise ramp teams responsible for the onloading and offloading of aircraft deadload. You will serve as the main point of coordination during aircraft turnaround, ensuring smooth communication between all operational stakeholders.

Safety is a core responsibility of this position. You will actively promote a strong safety culture, ensuring full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while identifying, reporting, and mitigating hazards in real time.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the accountable person for the safe loading and unloading of aircraft deadload
• Supervise ramp teams during aircraft turnaround operations
• Ensure strict compliance with all SOPs and airside safety regulations
• Lead safety awareness initiatives and influence team members to maintain high safety standards
• Conduct team briefings and ensure clear operational communication
• Complete required operational documentation and reports
• Inspect aircraft contact points for damage on arrival and departure and report findings to the Duty Manager
• Promote teamwork, consistency, and efficiency across ramp operations

Education & Experience Requirements

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

• High school certificate or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 3 years of experience in airline or airport operations
  or
  At least 2 years of ramp operations experience within Etihad Airport Services – Ground
• Valid UAE driving license (preferred)
• Proven leadership skills and strong safety awareness
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
