Role Overview – Occupational Health Nurse

As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will provide comprehensive medical care to eligible employees and their dependents. The role involves conducting health assessments, managing workplace health programs, and responding to medical emergencies when required. You will contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment across aviation and engineering departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-employment and periodic medical assessments in line with aviation regulatory standards.
• Evaluate employees’ physical and mental fitness while maintaining accurate medical records.
• Work closely with management, safety officers, and healthcare teams to enhance workplace safety.
• Guide employees on health policies, wellness initiatives, and preventive care.
• Perform routine health checks for airside driving license applicants.
• Monitor staff exposed to occupational hazards through structured health surveillance programs.
• Administer prescribed medications, vaccines, and treatments while observing patient responses.
• Maintain precise documentation in accordance with company policies.
• Provide emergency medical support and coordinate with external emergency services when necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing with a minimum of five years’ experience, including at least two years in occupational health, aviation medicine, or emergency nursing.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification is preferred.
• Strong clinical expertise and sound knowledge of first-response procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain composed and make informed decisions under pressure.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays when required.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of health promotion and employee wellness programs.
