About the Storekeeper Position

The Storekeeper plays an essential role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the school by ensuring that all departments have timely access to the materials, equipment, and supplies they require. This position oversees procurement, inventory management, stock distribution, and supplier coordination to maintain an efficient and well-organized store environment.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in managing store operations, preferably within an educational institution or a similar professional setting.

Key Responsibilities

As a Storekeeper, your duties will include:

• Managing the procurement of educational and operational supplies within approved budgets.
• Collaborating with academic leaders, administrators, and support teams to identify purchasing requirements.
• Preparing purchase orders, obtaining necessary approvals, and ensuring adherence to company finance policies.
• Maintaining accurate inventory records for all consumable and non-consumable items through regular stock audits and inventory systems.
• Receiving, storing, and issuing materials while ensuring storage areas remain organized and efficient.
• Coordinating printing requirements for school documents, including diaries, reports, and branded stationery.
• Assisting with budget tracking, procurement records, and reconciliation activities.
• Communicating with suppliers, logistics providers, and corporate teams to monitor orders and delivery schedules.
• Organizing and preparing resources to ensure operational readiness for new academic terms.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants should possess:

• Completion of secondary education; a bachelor’s degree is an added advantage.
• Experience in logistics, procurement, inventory control, or accounting is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in a storekeeping, warehouse, or inventory management role, ideally within a school or institutional environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, inventory management software, and basic financial systems.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
• The capability to work independently and efficiently during busy periods.
• A professional, customer-focused attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
