Role Overview
The Customer Service Executive plays a crucial role in maintaining client relationships and ensuring smooth shipment processes. The position involves handling customer queries, coordinating with logistics partners, and ensuring timely and efficient delivery of shipments.
Strong communication skills, multitasking ability, and attention to detail are essential to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Act as the main point of contact for customer inquiries and shipment updates
- Provide freight quotations for air, sea, and land transport
- Resolve customer complaints efficiently and professionally
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships
Shipment Coordination
- Coordinate with agents, shipping lines, airlines, and transport providers
- Arrange bookings for:
- FCL (Full Container Load)
- LCL (Less than Container Load)
- Air and land freight shipments
- Track shipments and provide regular status updates
- Ensure timely delivery and handle delays proactively
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and verify essential shipping documents, including:
- Bill of Lading (BL)
- Air Waybill (AWB)
- Invoice and Packing List
- Certificate of Origin (COO)
- Ensure compliance with UAE customs regulations
- Work closely with customs clearance teams for smooth import/export operations
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in freight forwarding customer service
- Prior experience in Abu Dhabi logistics operations is an advantage
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and customer requests efficiently
