Cluster / Area Buyer – FMCG Retail

Job Responsibilities

As a Cluster / Area Buyer, you will play a key role in managing the procurement process and ensuring the availability of products across assigned retail categories. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate pricing to achieve targeted gross profit margins.
  • Monitor category sales performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Ensure optimum stock levels through effective inventory planning and timely replenishment.
  • Coordinate and execute promotional campaigns to maximize sales.
  • Monitor ageing inventory and implement strategies to reduce slow-moving and dead stock.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Store Buyer in the FMCG Retail sector is mandatory.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP ERP and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
