The Junior Accountant will assist the finance department in managing daily accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with organizational financial policies and procedures.

This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Selected candidates will support various accounting and financial functions, including:

• Recording daily financial transactions and journal entries
• Managing cash collections and credit card settlements
• Processing petty cash expenses and refund transactions
• Posting bank receipts and monitoring deposits
• Preparing periodic accounting and financial reports
• Maintaining debtor and creditor records
• Managing returned cheques and chargeback accounts
• Preparing and verifying invoices and supporting documents
• Monitoring outstanding receivables and follow-up activities
• Handling ancillary service billing and rental invoicing
• Maintaining accounting documentation and records
• Supporting month-end closing and reconciliation activities
• Assisting with accounts payable functions
• Performing general ledger reconciliations
• Supporting inventory monitoring and control processes
• Recording fixed assets and capital expenditure transactions
• Investigating discrepancies and unusual financial activities
• Assisting with internal audits and management reporting
• Providing support to Finance Managers and senior accounting personnel

Eligibility Requirements

Educational Qualification

Applicants should possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline

Work Experience

Candidates must have:

• At least 4 years of accounting experience
• Previous healthcare or hospital accounting experience will be an advantage

Preferred Qualifications
