About the Position
As a Store Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth warehouse operations by managing incoming and outgoing materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting production requirements. The role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, count, and document incoming and outgoing materials.
- Issue materials to production teams as required.
- Record inventory transactions accurately within the ERP system.
- Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy between physical stock and system records.
- Participate in regular stock counts and inventory audits.
- Monitor inventory levels and help prevent stock shortages.
- Raise purchase requests for consumable materials when necessary.
Warehouse Operations
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all materials.
- Support the movement of materials using approved equipment and procedures.
- Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and efficiency.
- Follow inventory control best practices to improve operational performance.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Adhere to all company HSE policies and procedures.
- Report hazards, incidents, unsafe conditions, and near misses.
- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Handle chemicals and hazardous materials safely.
- Participate in safety training sessions and emergency drills.
- Support environmental sustainability initiatives.
Material Handling
- Safely handle heavy materials according to company guidelines.
- Operate trolleys, lifting devices, and overhead cranes when required.
- Follow approved material transportation procedures.
- Comply with emergency response and workplace safety standards.
Required Qualifications
