Job Overview

As a Junior Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of revenue-related financial transactions. Your responsibilities will include processing revenue records, reconciling accounts, resolving accounting exceptions, auditing fares and refunds, and supporting monthly financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Accounting

• Process revenue accounting transactions accurately and on time.
• Perform invoice processing, account reconciliations, and fare/refund audits.
• Resolve accounting system exceptions while following established procedures.
• Investigate discrepancies and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for timely resolution.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and other finance-related tasks.

Passenger Revenue Management

• Update fare construction details in accordance with IATA guidelines.
• Resolve revenue proration issues using the RAPID system.
• Review ticket information and validate passenger journey details.
• Process tax-related exceptions and ensure collected taxes are correctly accounted for.
• Conduct fare and yield checks to maintain revenue accuracy.

Interline Accounting

• Reconcile sales, revenue clearing, and interline accounts.
• Prepare accounting entries for accruals, reversals, exchange differences, and revenue adjustments.
• Generate invoices, credit notes, billing memos, and supporting documentation.
• Review incoming bills and raise rejections when discrepancies are identified.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Completion of 10 years of schooling or an equivalent qualification.
• Educational background in Finance is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
