Job Role: Warehouse Helper
Role Summary
The Warehouse Helper supports daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient handling of goods from receipt to dispatch. Working closely with the Warehouse Supervisor, this role focuses on accuracy, safety, and operational efficiency to meet store and distribution requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Inbound Operations
- Assist in unloading deliveries from suppliers
- Verify quantities and identify discrepancies
- Label, sort, and store items in designated locations
- Ensure receiving documents are completed accurately
Picking, Packing & Dispatch
- Pick items accurately according to store or online orders
- Pack goods securely to prevent damage during transportation
- Support loading, staging, and dispatch of shipments
- Ensure timely stock replenishment to retail outlets
Inventory Control
- Participate in daily, weekly, monthly, and annual stock counts
- Maintain proper stock rotation using FIFO/FEFO methods
- Report shortages, excess stock, or damaged items
- Help maintain accurate inventory records
Warehouse Safety & Housekeeping
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and hazard-free
- Safely use warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and trolleys
- Follow PPE requirements and safety guidelines
- Report safety risks immediately
Team & Supervisor Support
- Perform tasks assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor
- Assist with space optimization and workflow improvements
- Contribute positively to teamwork and productivity
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school certificate or equivalent (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year experience in warehouse, logistics, or retail operations
- Basic knowledge of warehouse processes
- Ability to lift and move heavy items
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Physically fit, dependable, and punctual
