Job Overview: Service Manager – Automotive Workshop

Al Habtoor Motors is looking for a Service Manager responsible for managing and improving daily workshop operations while maintaining high service quality standards. The role involves supervising technical teams, optimizing productivity, and ensuring compliance with manufacturer and warranty guidelines.

Based in Abu Dhabi, this position requires strong operational control, technical supervision, and team leadership to meet performance targets and business objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Workshop Operations Management

  • Supervise day-to-day workshop activities and ensure smooth coordination between technicians, service advisors, and support staff.
  • Plan workloads and allocate tasks effectively to maintain efficient service turnaround times.
  • Monitor workflow and ensure optimal utilization of workshop resources.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer standards and warranty policies.
  • Maintain proper documentation and reduce repair rework.
  • Focus on improving first-time repair success rates.

Team Leadership and Staff Development

  • Lead, motivate, and guide technicians and service advisors.
  • Set clear performance goals and monitor staff productivity.
  • Identify skill gaps and support continuous technical training programs.

Customer Service and Escalation Handling

  • Handle customer complaints and service escalations professionally.
  • Implement service improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Apply knowledge of auto trade finance within service operations.

Candidate Requirements

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering preferred.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of automotive workshop or after-sales experience
  • At least 3 years in a service management or leadership role
  • Proven ability to manage teams and deliver operational improvements
